Safety is one of the building blocks that the World Health Organisation identifies as critically important for a young child’s optimal development. The church has a great role and responsibility to ensure that every child in its midst, and also in the community, has a safe environment in which to grow up. Congregations enjoy a special trust in their communities. Parents leave their children in the care of leaders, teachers and volunteers whom they know and respect. This creates an incredible opportunity, but also a responsibility that must be taken seriously.
Little Seeds Unit is hosting a webinar specifically for congregations on Wednesday 27 May on this important topic. We will hear the inspiring story of a congregation that joined hands across boundaries in their community to promote child safety. We will also look at practical guidelines for congregations on developing a child protection policy, as well as other tools to create awareness.
If you are part of a faith community and you want to make a difference in the lives of children – don’t miss this webinar.
Wednesday, 27 May from 18:30 to 19:30 via MS Teams
