Early Childhood Education Centres

 

If a person is looking after more than six children, the Day Care Centre must be registered according to the norms and standards of the Children’s Act 38 of 2005. There must also be an agreement between the facility and the parents in order to look after the child. 

The building blocks of an effective Day Care Centre include:

 

Stimulation

An approved stimulation programme that promotes school readiness, life skills and resilience.

Safe Environment

Affordable, secure and caring care to children of working parents.

Nutrition

A balanced meal to children in order to promote health.

Love

Love, compassion and specialised help if required.
